  • During the fasting period, please drink plenty of water to stay hydrated for a smoother draw process. Some kits may require limited fluid intake, so please adhere to any preparation directions provided with your kit.

Scheduling Appointments

  • When scheduling an appointment, please inform our customer service representative of the correct or specific laboratory, kit (if necessary), or both.

Routine Lab Draws

Routine blood testing is a common medical procedure used to evaluate the overall health of a patient.

A routine blood test typically involves drawing a small sample of blood from a vein in the arm, which is then sent to a laboratory for analysis. The results of the test are used by doctors to diagnose and monitor a range of medical conditions, such as infections, anemia, and certain types of cancer.

The Blood Draw Process

A routine blood test is performed in your home or office, by a trained medical professional, such as a phlebotomist. The procedure typically takes only a few minutes and involves the following steps:

  • The patient will be asked to sit in a comfortable position, with their arm extended and palm facing upwards.
  • The medical professional will clean the area around the vein with an antiseptic solution.
  • A tourniquet will be applied to the upper arm to help locate a suitable vein for the blood draw.
  • The medical professional will insert a needle into the vein and collect a small sample of blood into a collection tube.
  • Once the sample has been collected, the needle will be removed and a bandage or cotton ball will be placed over the puncture site to stop any bleeding.

After the Procedure

After the blood has been collected, it is sent to a laboratory for analysis. The results of the test are typically available within a few days and will be provided to the patient’s doctor, who will review the results and discuss any abnormal findings with the patient.

It is important to note that routine blood testing is just one tool that doctors use to evaluate a patient’s health. A single abnormal result does not necessarily indicate a medical condition and may require further testing or monitoring over time to determine if there is a consistent issue.

It is worth noting that routine blood testing is generally considered safe and relatively painless. However, as with any medical procedure, there are some potential risks and complications to be aware of. These may include bleeding or infection at the site of the blood draw, fainting, or discomfort during the procedure.

Glucose Testing

Glucose Testing

Glucose testing is a common diagnostic test used to monitor blood sugar levels in individuals with diabetes or other medical conditions. Glucose testing can be performed using a variety of methods, including traditional blood draws and fingerstick tests. Fingerstick tests are particularly convenient for patients because they can be performed easily and quickly, often with the use of a handheld glucose meter.

Mobile glucose testing is a service that allows individuals to perform fingerstick glucose tests in their own home or other convenient location. This service is especially helpful for individuals who need to monitor their blood sugar levels frequently or who have difficulty traveling to a laboratory or healthcare provider’s office. Mobile glucose testing services may also offer educational resources and support for individuals with diabetes, including training on how to use glucose meters and how to interpret test results.

To use mobile glucose testing services, patients typically contact a provider or laboratory that offers the service and schedule an appointment for a trained professional to visit their home or office. The professional will then perform the necessary glucose tests and provide the results to the patient or their healthcare provider. The professional may also provide additional support and guidance for managing diabetes or other medical conditions.

DNA Testing

DNA testing is a type of genetic testing that analyzes a person’s DNA to provide information about their genetic makeup. DNA testing can be used for a variety of purposes, including ancestry testing, paternity testing, and genetic disease screening. DNA testing can be performed using a variety of methods, including blood samples, saliva samples, and cheek swabs.

Mobile DNA Testing:

Mobile DNA testing is a service that allows individuals to collect their own DNA samples in the comfort of their own home or other convenient location. Mobile DNA testing kits typically include a saliva collection kit or cheek swab, which is then sent to a laboratory for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days and can be accessed through an online portal or provided to the patient by their healthcare provider.

Mobile Phlebotomy and DNA Testing:

Mobile phlebotomy and DNA testing services can be used together to provide a comprehensive genetic testing experience. For example, a mobile phlebotomist could visit a patient’s home or office to collect a blood sample for genetic testing, and a mobile DNA testing kit could be sent to the patient’s home for saliva or cheek swab collection. This combined approach can provide a more complete picture of a person’s genetic makeup and can be especially helpful for individuals who have difficulty traveling to a laboratory or healthcare provider’s office

Early Gender Reveal

Early gender reveal is a type of genetic testing that uses a simple blood test to detect the presence of fetal DNA in the mother’s bloodstream. This test can determine the gender of the baby as early as 8 weeks into pregnancy, and can provide a more accurate result than traditional ultrasound methods. Early gender reveal testing can be performed in a laboratory, but can also be performed at home with a mobile phlebotomy service.

Mobile Phlebotomy and Early Gender Reveal:

Mobile phlebotomy and early gender reveal services can be used together to provide a convenient and accurate way for expecting parents to find out the gender of their baby. A mobile phlebotomist can visit the mother’s home or office to collect a blood sample, which is then sent to a laboratory for analysis. Results are typically available within a few days and can be accessed through an online portal or provided to the patient by their healthcare provider.

While early gender reveal testing can be a fun and exciting way for expecting parents to learn the gender of their baby, it is important to note that this test is a form of genetic testing and does carry some risk. As with any medical procedure or test, it is important to discuss the potential benefits and risks with your healthcare provider before deciding to undergo early gender reveal testing.
